Becky was born and raised on Nantucket. From an early age she was captivated by the natural beauty of her surroundings, which included nearby Muskeget Island. A precocious artist, she won awards for both drawing and floral design while still in grade school. This love of art and nature continued into adulthood. As a young adult her interests and studies spanned photography, interior design, landscaping and drafting.
In 1998 Becky met her loving partner, Jerry. They were wed in a romantic seaside ceremony in 2002. When not working or tending to family duties, the Zadrogas (now with two teens) enjoy boating, fishing, visiting Tuckernuck and traveling.
Since 2013 Becky has been photographing Island weddings as either primary or secondary shooter. She has developed a niche market for the smaller, elegant style of wedding that she and Jerry enjoyed (and still fondly reminisce about today). Her photographs emit a style which has been described as “natural and organic.” Her most recent weddings have been featured in local publications such as N Magazine, Review Nantucket, and Only Nantucket Magazine.
Becky takes pride in the attention to detail she utilizes for family portraits as well as wedding packages. She creates a relaxing and fun setting, encouraging interaction among family members. Her style is a mixture of classic posed portraits and candids, focusing on emotional connection. She knows as a mother herself the importance of documenting those precious but fleeting moments!
Along with portraits and weddings, Becky is honored to help several Nantucket nonprofit organizations with their photography needs such as Nantucket New School, Swim Across America-Nantucket, Nantucket Skating Club, and PASCON. Becky is also a member of the Professional Photographers of America.
